When a new affiliate is created, he or she automatically receives a copy of each default Tracking ID you have made. This is an easy way to provide new affiliates with a set of Tracking IDs and landing pages in their account, so they can start using their tracking links and earning commissions right away.

By default, the default tracking IDs are displayed in order of SID (System ID).  You can select a different method of sorting by clicking the up and down arrows in the heading of each column.

Default Tracking IDs options

SID
The SID (System ID) is a unique number that identifies the default tracking ID to the system.  This number is set by the software and cannot be changed.

Landing Page
This will specify where the customer will be taken to when they click the affiliate's tracking link. The landing page can be any valid URL; it could be a page in the storefront, or any other webpage of your choice. Even if the Landing Page is a non-store webpage, the clicks and commissions will still be recorded.

Description
This will set the description for this default tracking ID. The descriptions are displayed in various locations in both the administration area and storefront.

 (Check icon)
The checkboxes in this column work with the bulk editing menu at the bottom of the page, giving you the option of making changes to one or more default tracking IDs at once.

The default Tracking ID with a SID of "New"
A default Tracking ID with an SID of "New" is always included at the end of the Search Results. Use this row to create a new default tracking ID.

When a new default Tracking ID is added, changes made to any other default Tracking IDs listed on the page are also saved.

If the Landing Page field is left blank, then a new default Tracking ID will not be added.

Bulk Editing
The following bulk-editing options are available in the action menu at the bottom of the page.

Take No Further Action
When "Take No Further Action" is selected, the system will check for any edits made to the existing default tracking IDs and make updates if necessary. The system will also create a new default tracking ID if information is entered in the New row.

Delete
If you no longer need a default tracking ID, you may choose to delete the default tracking ID.  To do this, select the checkbox in the last column of the default tracking ID's row, select "delete" in the dropdown menu, and click the Go button.  You may delete multiple default tracking IDs at once by selecting multiple check boxes before clicking Go.
