Release notes for Modular Merchant version 4.110902.1424
  • General Updates
  • MMv4 Public Release Notes 5
    • Administration Area: Added Revision History to selected pages of the Admin Area. The Revision History lists the edits that have been made to that item.
    • Administration Area: Rebuilt the Admin Permission system to take advantage of the new permission system.
    • Admins: Added 90 individual permission levels that can be set on an admin-by-admin basis.
    • General: Completed several APIs used by account maintenance and technical support services.
    • Im/Export: The tools for importing and exporting data is now available. Things that can be imported and exported include: ban rules, categories, customers, digital objects, drop shippers, orders, products, product groups, related product rules, shipments, subscriptions, taxes, vendors and zone fees.
    • Modules: Renamed the "Post-Transaction Cross Sell" module to the less technically accurate, but more catchy, title of "1-Click Upsell" module.
    • Order Editor: Fixed a display issue on the Order Editor page.
    • Product Editor: The default state of the "Product Requires Shipping" setting is now controlled by the corresponding question in the Account Setup Wizard. (Previously, it would always default to "this product doesn't require shipping.)
    • Product Editor: The product License Key/Serial Number system is now unlocked and ready to use.
    • QuickCode Tags: Fixed several display issues with the "BASKET SUMMARY" QuickCode Tag.
    • QuickCode Tags: Fixed several display issues with the "RELATED PRODUCTS" group of QuickCode Tags.
    • QuickCode Tags: Fixed an issue in which the QuickCode Tags related to the Digital Delivery system weren't being parsed in email templates.
    • QuickCode Tags: Fixed the display of several QuickCode Tags related to the customer's Order History that are used in the Customer Account Area.
    • QuickCode Tags: Changed all references of the "DYNAMIC-CONTENT" QuickCode Tag to "UNIVERSAL-CONTENT".
    • QuickCode Tags: Added support for the new referral system that will earn Modular Merchant clients monthly affiliate commissions every time someone starts a new account by clicking the "Powered by Modular Merchant" link in their store.
    • RMV: The Remote Membership Validation system has now been unlocked and is ready to use.
    • Search Log Report: The [Reports > Search Log] page is no longer restricted.
    • Shipping: The Shipping Pick List now has a link to a printable version of the Pick List.
    • Storefront: When a state is selected from a State menu in the storefront, the corresponding country will now automatically be selected in the Country menu.
    • Storefront: The password retrieval system for customers in the storefront is now working and ready to use.
    • Subscriptions: Changed the title of the page at [Orders > Search Subscriptions] to make it consistent with the "subscriptions" naming scheme.
    • Support Tickets: Fixed issue in which support tickets weren't parsing style tags. Example, quoted text wasn't being displayed in its spiffy little "quote" box.
    • System Settings: The number of options listed in the timezone has been reduced. The timezone menu should now list just the "standard" timezones.
    • System Settings: Changed the date format field from a text area to a dropdown menu containing several pre-formatted date formats.
    • Template Packages: Renamed /tp_universal_skeleton/universal_css.css to /tp_universal_skeleton/universal.css (The "_css" in the file name was redundant and facepalmy.)
    • Template Packages: When a page in the storefront loads, if the universal.css file is not present in the live Template Package's directory, then the system will attempt to save a copy of the default universal.css stylesheet in it.
    • Template Packages: Added an option to the [Design > Template Package Sandbox] page to allow the user to create copies each individual template when downloading a Template Package. This is a great way to quickly make a complete Template Package (containing 30 templates) from a "universal" Template Package (which contains only one "universal" template).
    • Template Packages: Added an option to the [Design > Template Package Sandbox] page to allow the user to upload and replace their store's live Template Package. (Previously, overwriting the store's live one wasn't allowed.)
    • Template Packages: The upload tool on the Template Package Sandbox page can now install a Template Package from a zip file with a directory structure formatted like: /directory_one/directory_two/templates -OR- /directory_one/templates.
