Email Archive

The Email Archive lists references to store generated emails previously sent to customers.  The emails can be receipts, newsletters, autoresponders, etc.  The Email Archive page will display the list of email references for a specified time period, which is selected in the Email Archive setting in the store's System Settings.
 
Search Email Archive
Either search for all Email Archive to display all types of store emails, or select Email Archive that matches the rules below to refine the search.
 
Email Archive Search Result Columns

SID
The SID (System ID) is a unique number that identifies the email to the system.  This number is set by the software and cannot be changed.

Email Batch ID
If the email was sent by Modular Mailer (such as a newsletter or autoresponder), the email archive will specify this in the Email Batch ID column by providing a batch ID number. On demand emails (such as order receipts, notification of declined orders, and shipping updates) will have a value of 0 in the Email Batch ID column.

Date Sent
Displays the date and time that the email was sent.

tip
The format that the date and time are displayed throughout the administration area can be changed by going to the Date Format section of the System Settings.


Recipient Name & Email
Displays the customer's name and email address.

Series & Series Step
If a Modular Mailer email series triggered the email, it will be displayed in this column.

Email Template
Displays the email template used to generate the email.

Email Subject
Displays the text in the email's subject line.

HTML Version
Displays a button that may be clicked to view the HTML Version of the email in a popup window. If the HTML Version was not enabled in the email template, then the popup will be empty.

Text Version
Displays a button that may be clicked to view the HTML Version of the email in a popup window. If the HTML Version was not enabled in the email template, then the popup will be empty.

Date Viewed
If the email template's Track Message Opens / Read option is set to YES for the email's template, the Date Viewed column will attempt to display the date that the customer opened and viewed the email. This tracking feature is part of the Email Template Editor for emails generated by Modular Mailer.

Links Followed
If the email template's Track Links / Clicks option is set to YES for the email's template, the Links Followed column will display the links within the email that the customer clicked open. This tracking feature is part of the Email Template Editor for emails generated by Modular Mailer.

Bounce Date
If the email bounced as undeliverable, the date the bounce occurred on will be displayed here.

Notes
The number of notes associated with the email will be displayed here. The number may be clicked to open the Email Notes Editor in a new window, to view, add, edit, and delete email notes. As well as being added manually through the Email Notes Editor, Email Notes may be automatically added by the shopping cart software, such as a note recording an email delivery failure for an email from a Modular Mailer Email Batch or Email Series.
