This article outlines the database structure for the MMv4 category database table.

  • id
    Primary Key of the table.
    int(10) | unsigned | auto increment | primary key | indexed
  • name
    The name of the category.
    varchar(255) | indexed
  • create_date
    The date in which this category was created.
    int(10) | unsigned | Values: 0/timestamp |  indexed
  • display_order
    The order in which the category is displayed within lists in relation to other categories.
    int(10) | unsigned | indexed
  • parent_cat
    The System ID (SID) of the category's parent category. If the category has no parent, enter 0 in this field.
    int(10) | unsigned | indexed
  • active
    If this field contains a value greater than zero, then the category is inactive. Only active categories are displayed in the storefront.
    int(10) | Values: 0/timestamp | Default: 1 | indexed
  • image
    The URL of an image associated with the category.
    varchar(255) | indexed
  • href_target
    Specifies whether the links to the category store page should open in the same browser window or a new one.
    varchar(255) | indexed
  • seo_url_text
    Any URL entered in this field will be used in the URL of the category's storefront page. If empty, the system will attempt to use thecategory's name instead.

  • store_page
    Contains the URL of a web page to be used instead of the default category page created by the shopping cart. If left blank, the default category page in the storefront will be used for the category.

  • template
    The template to be applied to the default category page in the storefront created by the shopping cart software for this category.
    varchar(255) | indexed
  • description
    A text/HTML description of the category. QuickCode Tags may be used to display the category's description in the storefront.
