A category is a container for a group of products with similar traits. Each product may belong to any number of categories, even zero. A product may belong to several categories (for example, a dress may belong to the categories "Dresses," "Women's Clothing," and "Formal Wear").

Categories can be created from within the Product Editor, or by using the Category Editor.

Categories can also be assigned images, as well as Category Attributes.
