The Reward Points module enables customers to earn points on purchases made in your store that can be redeemed future store purchases. It helps establish customer loyalty and increases the chance of customers returning to make future purchases.
The Reward Points module Settings page is used to configure the Reward Points module.
Earning Reward Points
Reward Point Formula
Input the number of reward points earned per X dollars spent in the store. The value of the reward points will be designated below.
Earning Criteria
Designate whether customers will earn reward points for Products, Tax Value, and Shipping Value.
Rounding
Select whether partially reward points will be rounded up or down when customers make purchases in the store.
Spending Reward Points
Reward Point Value
Input the value of each reward point earned by customers in the store.
Minimum Threshold
Designate the minimum number of reward points that can be redeemed in any single order.
Maximum Threshold
Designate the maximum number of reward points that can be redeemed in any single order.
tip The amount of reward points earned for individual products can be overridden in the product editor for the product. That tool enables products to be excluded from reward point eligibility altogether or for customers to earn less or more than the reward module's default settings. It can also be used to create a product simply to sell reward points, which is a common tactic for stores that sell inexpensive items such as mp3s.
