The Product Review Editor allows you to quickly add a Product Review for either a guest, customer or store admin.
Adding a product review

On the Product Review module's Home page, click the link for the Add a Product Review page.

Complete all desired fields.

Click Save Changes when finished.
Editing a product review

On the Product Review module's Home page, click the link for the Search Product Reviews page.

Click either the SID number or the
 icon associated with the review.

In the Product Review Editor, make the intended changes to the review.

Click Save Changes when finished.
Product Review Editor options
SID (System ID)
The SID (System ID) is a unique number that identifies the review to the system. This number is set by the software and cannot be changed.
Approval Status
By default, all newly submitted reviews are unapproved. Unapproved reviews are not publicly displayed in the storefront. Select "YES" to approve the review. Once approved, the review is ready for public viewing.
Review Date
The date the review was originally submitted. By default, reviews are displayed in the storefront in the order of newest to oldest. Either enter a date in this field in MM/DD/YYYY format, or click the calendar icon to the right of the field to select a date from a popup calendar.
Helpful Votes
Indicates the number of times the "this review was helpful" link that can be generated with the {URL-REVIEW-VOTE-IS-HELPFUL} QuickCode Tag has been clicked.
Unhelpful Votes
Indicates the number of times the "this review was unhelpful" link that can be generated with the {URL-REVIEW-VOTE-IS-UNHELPFUL} QuickCode Tag has been clicked.
Reviewer Type / SID
This setting has two parts. First, select the Reviewer Type from the dropdown menu. Reviews may be written by Customers, Guests (customers who are either new or not logged in to the storefront), or Admins. Selecting some of these options will display a secondary menu in which to enter either the Customer's or Admin's SID number.
Product
Enter the SID number of the product associated with this review. Click the Search button to open a popup window with a product search tool. Each review can be associated with only one product.
Product Review Text
Enter the text of the review in this field. For security reasons, reviews are written in plain text only. HTML code is not allowed, and will not be parsed. The maximum length of the review is determined by the store's database structure. By default, reviews can be up to 16,000 characters long.
