I have had customers report that they aren't able to finish submitting their order when using PayPal Standard. They are receiving this error when they attempt to finish checking out on PayPal's website:
"The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number."
It is inconsistent; it happens with some cards, but not all. Please help.
When users experience this error message on PayPal's website, it most often means that the card being used is already associated with an existing PayPal account.

The solution to this is to have the customer:

Use a different card. (One that isn't associated with a PayPal account.)

Sign in with their PayPal account to finish checking out.
