tip If your store doesn't sell shipped products, you may safely skip this step of the Account Setup Wizard.
There are several different types of shipping methods available. These include:
Custom Shipping Options
To enable custom shipping options in your store, select the Yes checkbox, and additional options will be displayed.
A list of all the custom shipping rules you have created in your store will be displayed. (Brand new stores come with one sample custom shipping method already created as an example.)
Select the checkbox for each custom shipping method you would like to make available in your store. Unselected shipping methods will never be displayed as an option to your customers.
FedEx Shipping Options
To enable FedEx shipping options in your store, select the Yes checkbox, and additional options will be displayed.
A FedEx Account Number and Meter Number will also be required in order for the shopping cart to obtain real-time shipping rates from FedEx.
tip Some newer FedEx accounts may not be given a Meter Number, but without it, FedEx's servers may reject the store's requests for shipping options. In this case, any seven-digit number (such as 1234567, for example) may work as a Meter Number.
A list of all the possible FedEx shipping methods will be displayed. Select the checkbox for each shipping method you would like to make available in your store. Unselected shipping methods will never be displayed as an option to your customers.
UPS Shipping Options
To enable UPS shipping options in your store, select the Yes checkbox, and additional options will be displayed.
A UPS Access Key, Account Name and Account Password is required in order for the shopping cart to obtain real-time shipping rates from UPS.
A list of all the possible UPS shipping methods will be displayed. Select the checkbox for each shipping method you would like to make available in your store. Unselected shipping methods will never be displayed as an option to your customers.
U.S.P.S. Shipping Options
To enable U.S.P.S. shipping options in your store, select the Yes checkbox, and additional options will be displayed.
By default, the shopping cart will use a shared U.S.P.S. account name and password to obtain real-time shipping rates from U.S.P.S. If you would like to use your own U.S.P.S. account instead, deselect the checkbox titled Use built-in U.S.P.S. account info, then enter your own U.S.P.S. account's user name and password in the fields provided.
A list of all the possible U.S.P.S. shipping methods will be displayed. Select the checkbox for each shipping method you would like to make available in your store. Unselected shipping methods will never be displayed as an option to your customers.
