Untranslated Red QuickCode Tags

red quickcode tags displayed in my storefront
When I use QuickCode Tags in my template, they don’t translate. For example, {COMPANY-NAME} does not change to my company’s name. Instead, it displays in my storefront in red text as the tag itself, like this: {COMPANY- NAME}.

If a QuickCode Tag displays in the storefront in red text, then it is because either:
  1. The instance of the QuickCode Tag in the template's source code contains a typo.
  2. No QuickCode Tag with the specified name exists.
The names of the QuickCode Tags used in template must be formatted as an exact match  in order to be translated by the template system.

Make sure there are no additional spaces in the version of the tag in your code. For example, the QuickCode Tag {COMPANY - NAME} (note the spaces on each side of the hyphen) will not be translated correctly.

Also, QuickCode Tags are case sensitive. So, using {Company-Name} won’t work.

If the system doesn’t recognize a QuickCode Tag, it will display it on screen in red text when you view your storefront.

A listing of all the QuickCode Block Tags that are available can be found in the online QuickCode Tag Glossary.
