A dropshipper is a manufacturer or wholesaler that supplies and ships merchandise.
Customers place orders through the retail store, which forwards a notification to the dropshipper, which then ships the purchased items directly to the customer, without the products ever passing through the retail store.
If a store's product line includes any items that are shipped from a location other than the store's primary address, the dropshipper settings in the Modular Merchant shopping cart might be used.
The alternate locations might be traditional dropshippers, that are third-party manufactures or wholesalers. Or the alternate locations might be the store's regional warehouses, each of which stores certain product lines.
