A gift certificate, is a product that generates a redeemable coupon code when purchased in the storefront by a customer. Gift certificate products are used for customers to provide in-store credit to their friends or family in the form of a coupon code.
When the Generate Gift Certificate option in the Product Editor is toggled  , customers who add the product to the basket will be required to fill out a personalization form. The form is used to specify the recipient's email address, as well as a couple of optional fields.
