Order Processor

Order processor indicates which shopping cart module processed a specific order.

The order processor assigned to a particular order is displayed in the Order Processor row of the Order Status section of the Order Editor.

Order processor values may also be viewed on the Search Orders page, by customizing the Search Orders table columns to include Order Processor.
 
Original Order Processors

Prior to Version 14.0113, the shopping cart only included three order processors:
  • Customer
    An order placed in the storefront was handled by the Customer order processor.
     
  • Admin
    An order placed by an admin, using either the Place a FREE Digital Product Order Tool or the Place an Order Tool, was handled by the Admin order processor.
     
  • Subscription
    An order generated as the result of a subscription transaction (either when the shopping cart automatically processed the subscription transaction, or when an admin manually processed a subscription transaction) was handled by the Subscription order processor.
Since the release of Version 14.0113, the Admin order processor has been replaced by the Free Digital Delivery Tool and Place an Order Tool order processors; the Imported order processor has been added; and the Subscription order processor has been divided into the Subscription (Auto) and Subscription (Manual) order processors.

Orders placed prior to the release of Version 14.0113 remain assigned to their original order processors (except for orders that have since been updated via the Import/Export Center).

As a result, the Admin order processor may still be assigned to some old orders, even though that order processor is no longer used by new orders.

Additionally, orders generated from subscription transactions prior to the release of Version 14.0113 are all assigned to the Subscription (Auto) order processor, even orders resulting from manually processed subscriptions.
 
Current Order Processors

Subsequent to the release of Version 14.0113, the shopping cart handles new orders through the following order processors:
  • Customer
    An order placed in the storefront is handled by the Customer order processor.
     
  • Free Digital Delivery Tool
    An order placed through the admin area Place a FREE Digital Product Order Tool, at [Products > Digital Delivery Module > Place a Free Digital Product Order], is handled by the Free Digital Delivery Tool order processor.
     
  • Imported
    An order created through the Import/Export Center is assigned to the Imported order processor. Additionally, when an order is updated through the Import/Export Center, the order is assigned to the Imported order processor, replacing whichever order processor was previously assigned to the order.
     
  • Place an Order Tool
    An order placed through the admin area Place an Order Tool, at [Orders > Place an Order], is handled by the Place an Order Tool order processor.
     
  • Subscription (Auto)
    An order generated when the shopping cart automatically processes a subscription transaction in the Subscription Queue during one of the store's Processing Times is handled by the Subscription (Auto) order processor.
     
  • Subscription (Manual)
    An order generated when an admin manually processes a subscription transaction is handled by the Subscription (Manual) order processor.
 
Order Processor Abbreviations

Order processor values may be used as criteria to search for orders,
search for customers
, and create customer groups. For these purposes, order processor values are abbreviated to a single letter, as follows:

  • A Admin
    An order processor value of A indicates an order that was placed in the admin area through the Place a FREE Digital Product Order Tool or the Place an Order Tool, prior to the release of Version 14.0113.
     
  • C = Customer
    An order processor value of C indicates an order that was placed in the storefront.
     
  • D = Free Digital Delivery Tool
    An order processor value of D indicates an order that was placed in the admin area through the Place a FREE Digital Product Order Tool, after the release of Version 14.0113.
     
  • I = Imported
    An order processor value of I indicates an order that was created or updated through the Import/Export Center, after the release of Version 14.0113.
     
  • M = Subscription (Manual)
    An order processor value of M indicates an order that resulted from a manually processed subscription, after the release of Version 14.0113.
     
  • P = Place an Order Tool
    An order processor value of P indicates an order that was placed in the admin area through the Place an Order Tool, after the release of Version 14.0113.
     
  • S = Subscription (Auto)
    An order processor value of S indicates an order that resulted from a manually or automatically processed subscription prior to the release of Version 14.0113, or an order that resulted from an automatically processed subscription after the release of Version 14.0113.
